How It Works
1. Assessment
We’ll understand your building type, chute setup, ordinance requirements, hauler schedule, and cart locations, and propose a recycling plan.
2. Program Setup
We’ll install bag dispensers, create a cart plan, help you choose a service cadence (usually 3-5 days/week), distribute education materials, and take some initial photos.
3. Ongoing Service
We’ll refill dispensers, stage carts, check for contamination, sort scoped waste, take before/after photos, issue any alerts, and provide a monthly service summary.

Green Bag Program: Organics
Organics recycling adds complexity to your waste stream, but we have you covered.
We keep your residents supplied with compostable bags and the necessary educational materials, making it easy for them to do their part.
Our team will:
- Install and refill Green Bag dispensers at chute rooms or enclosures
- Provide 3-gallon BPI-certified/CMA-approved compostable bags
- Stage and move carts for resident access and collection
- Monitor and remove visible contamination
- Provide required education materials for regulated markets (e.g., CA SB 1383)

Blue Bag Program: Single-Chute Systems
Mid- and high-rise communities have extra challenges when it comes to recycling and sorting waste.
Our Blue Bag program helps you keep your recycling clean without reducing resident satisfaction.
Our team will:
- Install and refill Blue Bag dispensers at chute rooms or enclosures
- Provide 13-gallon bags for commingled recyclables
- Monitor and remove contamination
- Stage carts for access and pickup
Onsite Sorting: Highly Regulated Areas
Sometimes, complex requirements require more hands-on service to ensure compliance. When our technicians show up for on-site sorting, they maximize diversion and minimize contamination.
We’re experienced in the most highly regulated markets and are a Certified Zero Waste Facilitator in the City of San Francisco.
Our team will:
- Sort trash, recycling, and organics according to local rules.
- Ensure compliance with the San Francisco Refuse Separation Ordinance (RSO)
- Sweep and clear loose debris in trash rooms and enclosures
- Redistribute waste across onsite containers to avoid overflow hot spots
- Break down cardboard and properly stage recyclables
- Operate your on-site compactor during scheduled windows
- Notify you of equipment issues with lids, wheels, gates, and compactors
Organics & Compost Management
Meeting strict contamination limits can be a challenge, and many communities need a last line of defense at the container level.
With Ally organics and compost management, our team goes behind the scenes to minimize contaminants and maximize efficiency.
Our team will:
- Decontaminate your organics stream
- Sweep trash rooms and enclosures daily
- Provide required education materials for regulated markets (e.g., CA SB 1383)
Biohazard Screening & Resident Safety
Biowaste requires extra caution, and we’re here for it.*
If biowaste winds up in your trash, recycling, or compost, you could see fines or service suspensions. We’ll help you avoid both while keeping your waste rooms safer.
Our team will:
- Post educational signage for residents in trash chute rooms
- Remove readily observable medical sharps and needles from the waste stream
- Notify you when hazards are identified and resolved

We refill on a regular schedule, but you can notify us when inventory runs low. You’ll cover damaged or lost dispensers.
Do you remove medical sharps?
We remove readily observable needles from the stream and notify your team. Ongoing hazardous waste programs are out of scope.
Do you coordinate with haulers or the city?
Yes, we coordinate with your haulers or the city through our Waste Operations Support team for service adjustments and ordinance questions.
